In The Young Artist’s Coloring Book, Bowers’ poetry introduces children 3-to-13 to some of the basic principles and elements of design. Kids can think about line or balance or patterns while they apply color to the bold images created by Artist Carrie Disrud.

Mango Summers is an anthology of Key West writers who write about, well, Key West. Bowers’ short story about Summer, a baby pygmy sperm whale who was abandoned on the shores of Key West, takes the reader down island to Bequia in the Grenadines where humpbacks are still hunted today.

Once Upon An Island is the first book of short stories and essays by writers associated with the Key West Authors Co-op. Bowers’ thoughts on The Cuban Godfather and Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas: Paradise or Prison? are the only non-fiction essays in the book series.

Cats I’ve Known is a five-year work in progress. In Bowers’ memoir that takes her to Key West and beyond, she parallels human cats and feline behavior in-and-around the apartment compound she owns at the Southernmost Point of the United States. Some of the life and death stories are tragic; some are outrageously funny.
