| b.bowers bio: Ex-art teacher. Ex-PR flack. Ex-marketing consultant. In what was an otherwise conventional lifestyle, the only X Bowers didn’t have was an ex-husband. With no man, no kids and no interest in a BMW or keys to the executive washroom, in 1988 she rode the first wave of “Thirty-Something” Yuppie dropouts to parts unknown. When she washed ashore Caribbean beaches, paddled amidst Amazon jungles, kayaked Alaskan fiords or scuba dived the Great Barrier Reef, she never looked back.
These days Bowers still pursues art and writing that pleases her, in locations that please her more. From Key West she travels the world, observes its inhabitants and absorbs its culture. She has a B.A. in art history (St. Louis University), an M.A. in social and behavioral sciences (Webster University) and a Ph.D. in uncomplicated living. |
